Bill Harley High Dive CD Released Feb 14th, 2012 Product Review

We had the pleasure of reviewing a CD recently.

It is called High Dive and other things that could have happened by Bill Harley

This wonderful CD goes on sale today (Feb 14th). You can order it here.

Bill takes us back to his boyhood with stories about summer at the community pool, field trips to the state house and a Valentine's Day disaster. Heartfelt and witty, Harley's tales engage kids like no other and send adults on a trip to their own past. Are these stories true? Bill says, "The more I tell them, the truer they get..."

I homeschool my kids so I love to play this CD periodically during out quiet time in the classroom. My kids just love to listen to it and love the stories within it. Bill is definately a very talented story teller!

We enjoyed each song on the CD and I could vividly see the stories unfolding in my head. It was as if I was watching it on TV instead. It brings me back to when I was a kid, remembering this that had
happened in my life.

Here is some more info about this wonderful CD:

(Winter 2012, Seekonk, MA) - Grammy Award winning performer Bill Harley will release High Dive and Other Things That Could Have Happened, a new collection of stories about episodes in life that everyone can relate to. It will be available from Round River Records on Feb 14th, 2012. Harley's son Dylan Block-Harley created the comical and colorful artwork for the new release.

A hit with Harley's live audiences, the titla tale features Bill's nine-year-old self at the community pool trying to impress his big summer crush -- Kristi, the 17-year-old lifeguard. The resulting mishap is a mix of hubris and hormones, sure to amuse every current and former kid. "I've had this story in my mind for years," explains Harley. "I recorded it at least three times, and each time it grew." Harley regards "High Dive" as a companion piece to his classic tale " The Great Sled Race."

Other stories on the release include "Field Trip" in which Bill and his buddy Glenn (infamous from "The Battle of the Mad Scientists) creat mayhem wherever they go, even on a school field trip, and "Monster Valentine," which demonstrates how attempts at humor can go terribly awry. Also included is the excuse-laden song "It Could Have Happened" which will ring familiar to any parents who expect their kids to explain things.

I highly recommend you head on over and visit his wonderful site.
