Discoveroo Patisserie Tea Set Product Review and Giveaway

Discoveroo, An Australian brand of Educational Toys and Games

Discoveroo is an Australian company with a mission to encourage creative play through beautiful, affordable, and sustainable wooden toys. We've found that parents are more interested in wooden toys and less interested in plastic and electronic toys. Although usually cheaper, plastic and electronic toys have limited play value and often break quickly. Furthermore, they limit the amount of Creative Play that is necessary to develop a child's mind during critical windows of accelerated development in early childhood. These critical times are windows of opportunity for parents and educators to provide the best possible learning environment. Discoveroo products are designed to encourage more Creative Play; they stir up the imagination with outcomes that are not predetermined, which gives a child the opportunity to explore possibilities and develop their mind. Our toys are Natural and Simple because, for young children, seeing how a toy works is an important part of understanding the world. The natural materials also stimulate the senses in a way that processed materials cannot.

We had the opportunity to review 3 wonderful products from Discoveroo. I will do each review in a seperate post as the company would like to offer a seperate giveaway for each.

This is our second review. Please look on our blog for our first and third reviews too.

The second item we reviewed was the Patisserie Tea Set. My 6 year old daughter helped with this review and absolutly loved it. I couldn't get it out of the box fast enough for her. She has a little kitchen set in her room that she plays with all the time. She went upstairs with it right away to play with it. I cannot tell you how many times she has played with it since it came.

Here is a description about the item:
Tea time! One day it's tea with Eloise at the Plaza dressed in fab pink, having a lollipop-licking contest. The next day it's high tea with the queen, nibbling on biscuits and sipping from the finest floral china. Then it's afternoon tea with Grams, sharing heart-shaped mini cakes and jelly rolls. Invite a friend - real or imaginary - and have a pretty little tea party in any place you can imagine. Explore endless possibilities!

Sneak-in a lesson or two and use tea time with this set to teach kids about:

COLOURS
SHAPES AND OBJECTS
TABLE MANNERS AND ENTERTAINING

A visual feast, this deliciously beautiful wooden tea set comes with 15 pieces on a tray: puddings, chocolate and strawberry cakes, lollipops, biscuits, jelly rolls, a pair of tea cups, saucers and spoons. Made from plantation tea wood and ply.

Tray measures approximately 10x14. Recommended for ages 3 years and up.

I have been invited to several tea parties in her room and had a blast. She is constantly using the set to make things for her babies and then serves them.

I was shocked by how many pieces came with it and all made our of plantation tea wood and ply. The biscuit shown in the center actually comes apart and can be put back together with velcro. She loves that she can pretend to make things and then place them on the tray and carry them to another location. I have been served several times in my bedroom while putting laundry away...LOL

It is absolutely the cutest set ever. I delayed each of the 3 reviews a bit. I am always cautious about products made of wood. I am worried they will chip etc. They have been playing with each of their toys for a few weeks now and I have to say I am really impressed. Their hasn't been one chip of wood or paint. Now let me tell you that they have played with each a ton of times and the pieces have been dropped on the tile and everything. They still look brand new. Just look at the pics as I took them not long before posting this review. You can tell how they still look like they are brand new.

They have also been kind enough to offer a giveaway to our Canadian residents on this item. Please look below for the Rafflecopter from to enter.
