Hearts For Hearts Girls - Changing the World One Heart at a Time! { Review }

We recently had the opportunity to host a party in our home for

Hearts for Hearts Girls is a charitable doll line and fashion collection from Playmates Toys that seeks to empower girls to become agents of change in their communities, their countries and around the world. The line features eight dolls inspired by real girls from places all over the world. Each authentically dressed and lifelike doll has her own story to share and is working to change her community in ways unique to her home country.

We received 2 dolls for our party. One for my oldest daughter to keep and one to give away to one of our guests that attended our party.

The 2 dolls we received were

Hearts For Hearts Girls - Lauryce from New Orleans
Lauryce from New Orleans
Hearts For Hearts Girls - Consuelo from Mexico
Consuelo from Mexico

My daughter fell in love with the dolls as did our guests. They are adorable and very stylish. They were a huge hit and the girls loved them. They are the perfect size for the girls and all of the clothing, accessories, etc are so detailed right down to their earrings. Each doll comes with a book that tells you about each dolls story. For instance my daughter choose to keep the Lauryce doll. Her book said she was from New Orleans and told us her story. It told us about where she is from, what her mom and dad's profession are, that her family is creole, she has a pet rabbit, dog and cat.

It told us about her experience with Hurrican Katrina in which she was 4 years old at the time. She told us how it affected her family, housing etc and what they had to do during that time. From Katrina she started a club called LIL Hearts with her best friend. They help local animal shelters. They also love helping others in their community too and in Haiti. Her parents decided to sponsor 2 children from haiti that have also lost their homes. She knew what it was like to lose a home and wanted to help them as they have dealt with the same situation. Money from their club helps local animal shelters and children in Haiti.

It is honestly like gaining a new friend. It has if you have an acutal friend that just arrived. The children enjoyed sitting and learning about the doll and her story. Each doll comes with her own story to tell and ideas about how to make life better for her and her family, community, country and the world.

We introduced our guests to the dolls and told about their story. We also did activities such as creating a passport that was a big hit during the event. Our guests loved the dolls and actually said they had seen them at a local store. They said they had no idea what all the dolls had to offer. We actually had seen them in the store before hosting this party and had no clue either. Each girl was also sent home with their very own bracelet and a bracelet to share with their best friend.

I have to say we had a blast and invite you to visit their site and view all of the wonderful info with your daughter too.

Several of our guests said they were gonna put a Hearts for Hearts Doll on their Christmas list this year. Looks like Santa is gonna be busy!!!!
