Morphology Product Review / Holiday Gift Guide

I have the perfect party game to play during the holidays or to give as a gift.

It is called Morphology
the hilarious guessing game where creativity wins!

Morphology is a fun, creative and challenging party board game combining simple shapes, your imagination and creativity. Using wooden sticks, glass beads and colored cubes how would you create a “butterfly”? …or “airplane”?

Now try doing it with your eyes closed or using only the string! Morphology takes unique twists and turns, and has everyone laughing out loud.
It is for 4 or more players and recommend age 13+
I was very excited to play this game with my family. As most of you know we are a family of 5. My youngest is 10 months so she wouldn't be able to participate so we let her watch.
My other 2 children are 8 years old and 5 1/2 years old.
You can most certaintly make this game work with younger children too. We just changed the rules and the way you play around a bit.
My husband was on my sons team and I was on my older daughters team. We drew a card until we thought the child would understand it and be able to build it with a little of our help. We wanted them to be able to do most of the construction as they were so excited.
The object of the game is to pick a card, and then you have to use the objects they supply you with to construct the word. Your teammate then has to try to guess the word by looking at what you made.
It is a ton of fun and we had a blast. My kids really got into and have begged us to play it almost everyday.
It comes with beads, string, blocks, sticks etc. Your thinking how do I use those items to make things? Well I thought the same thing, but it is so easy once you start.
Here are a few of the creations my kids came up with all on their own :)
This is a bunny with a carrot. It is kind of hard to see some of the colors of the blocks. They took the wooden block for the body. Then they put 2 blocks on each side to make the bunny's ears. The 3 blocks on the right hand side are 2 orange and 1 green to make a carrot.

I love how creative they got using the carrot to help us.

This is a guy sitting with his fishing pole. The fishing line is hanging down and the bead represents a fish. It is suppose to be fishing.

Once again this is my 8 and 5 1/2 year creating these all by themselves.

This is a car ( if I remember right. some type of vehicle) with it's light on in the front and the headlights shining out, which are the 2 sticks.

As you can see we had a blast!

These were just a few of the creations we did and made a ton more.

This was TIME Magazine's #2 toy of 2010!
