Christmas is nearly here, only five sleeps left! If (like me) you've left shopping until the last minute and are still stumped for ideas, here's one that you may have otherwise overlooked: a personalised photo-calendar.
The great thing about a personalised calendar is that it will be seen numerous times throughout the following year. This means that not only will your gift be appreciated at the point of receiving, but it will also be appreciated several times a day until next Christmas; What more could you ask for in a gift?
The first step in the process is to select the photos you'll use in the calendar. Often you'll be able to choose to have either one photo or a collage of smaller photos for each month's page. This allows great flexibility in choosing what to display. You could stick with photos themed on events that have taken place in that month, in previous years ( Grandma's Great 80th Birthday Bash last March, for example), or simply cover the calendar in your favorite family memories.
The second step, and my personal favorite, is deciding which family - specific events to add to the calendar. The personlisation aspect allows you to add dates such as 'Mum's Birthday' or 'Pat and Keith's Anniversary' to the calendar, as well as obvious ones ('Christmas', 'Easter Sunday', etc).
When combined, these two options give you the opportunity to create an entirely personalised gift for friends and relatives that will be enjoyed for weeks to come.
Hopefully this offers some inspiratoin in your hunt for Christmas gifts this year! One last tip, before I go: don't forget to add your own birthday to the calendar! Then no one has any excuse for forgetting :)
