If you follow our blog then you know that I am honored to be part of the Step2 Test Driver Blogger Group. We get the pleasure of introducing you to new products and specials that Step2 offers throughout the year.

We had a rather long winter this year and we were excited when the warm weather arrived. We live in Florida and you would probably imagine that we have warm weather year round. You are definately wrong for this past winter. We had our far share of colder weather which kept us cooped up inside.

The last few weeks Spring arrived at our doorstep and brought with it some warmer weather. It allowed us to get outside and enjoy our patio and backyard. The birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming. As a homeschooling family I love when we are able to get out in the fresh air and enjoy some playtime.

We were super excited this Spring because we were sent a few Step2 products that are brand new to the Spring product line. We were sent a total of 4 products to review and we get to share our review with all of you. You definately will not be disappointed as they were a HUGE hit in our family.

Not only with the little ones

I am so jealous of the food playsets they received and have gotten my fair share of playtime with them!

As you can see pictured above we received the, Fixin' Fun Outdoor Grill, Click and Whirl Mower, Stack 'N Stay Hamburgers and Stack 'N Stay S'mores sets.

My kids were so excited when it all arrived and waited so patiently to get outside so they could really enjoy them. We have had a blast playing with them all. We have owned Step2 products since my son was the age 18 months to 2 years of age. He is now 9 years old. They are very dependable toys and hold up to just about anything your little ones can put them through.

I sit with my children each time and allow them to help assemble everything. They have so much fun and really enjoy helping in the process. I have to say that these were the easiest products ever to assemble and the fastest too. The food did not have to be assembled at all. All we had to assemble was the Grill and Mower.

The first product that we assembled was the Click and Whirl Mower.

The pictures above show the Click and Whirl Mower. It comes in a total of 2 pieces. The base part with the wheels and the handle. It is super easy to put together. You simply line the two black poles of the handle with the two holes on the base. Then slide them in a push down with a bit of pressure and you will hear them click. This means they are in place and your little ones is all set to go. The red knob on top turns and makes the green round disc turn as wheel. It also makes a clicking sound when turned and only makes the sound if turned with a hand. The yellow cap on the top of the mower also turns. It has a picture of a gas can on it so your little one can pretend to fill it up with gas. When this cap is turned it also makes a clicking sound.

My kids were excited to get it outside and pretend to mow our yard. They went back and forth through our yard over and over again. As they push it will make a clicking sound from one of the wheels. My kids have had a blast with it. There is only one wish I have and it is a BIG long shot...LOL

I wish it really mowed, as it would save mommy and daddys lots of time from doing yard work!!!

We can always wish right???

The next product we assembled was the Fixin' Fun Outdoor Grill.

Above is pictures of the Fixin' Fun Outdoor Grill. The picture to the left s all of the pieces layed out after removing them from the box. This item too is super easy to assemble and the kids helped with it all.

We first grabbed the red counter top and slid it into place on the brown base. Once we got it in place we turned it around and it has you place two screws in to ensure it stays in place. You can view the placement of the screws in the bottom photo on the right hand side. We then placed the big sticker of the goals burning on the top of the brown piece. Once you get it in place you will place the black grill piece over it. It comes with 4 little black plastic pieces that you simply push into place where the holes are. This will attach the black grill piece to the brown piece and ensure it stays in place. You can then see the burning coal sticker showing through the black grill piece. You can see it pictured in the middle picture to the right.

You then attach the top of the grill which opens and closes. There are two little brown like knob pieces that stick out on either side. you attach the gray lid pieces around these on both sides. Once you get them in place you place a screw on each side to secure it. You can view the placement of the screws in the top picture to the right. This will ensure that your little one can open and close the lid over and over.

After you get all of that in place then you are on the home stretch. All you have to do is attach the 2 hook like pieces to the side. You just attach them by applying a little pressure while pushing them into the holes. This is where your child can hang the tongs and spatula that come with it.

You then take the faucet piece and attach it with a little pressure too in the hole above the sink area. You child can use this to clean up their dishes when they are all done enjoying their creations.

Now all you have to do is attach the stickers and you are all done. The grey knobs turn and make a clicking sound. There is a pretend burner on the other side of the counter for your little ones to cook up some other yummy treats. The oven door also opens and shows a picture of a pizza cooking on the outside of the oven door.
This set also comes with a Stack 'N Stay Hot Dog set too. It comes with a plate, hot dog, bun, mustard bottle, ketchup bottle, relish, mustard and ketchup for the top of the hot dog.

I will tell you more about the food below so be sure to keep reading!!!

The last two products we have is the Stack 'N Stay Hamburger Set and Stack 'N Stay S'mores Set. Neither of these have to be put together. All you have to do is remove the pieces from the packaging. Your children will enjoy hours and hours playing with these. I am really jealous of these and the hot dog set. I had playfood growing up and it never stayed together. It would always fall apart when I tried to build or hold it in my hands. Well I have to give Step2 props on these. They hit the jackpot by creating a set that can be stacked and stays together. I have more details on this in the video that we created that will show you in detail on how the pieces can be placed and stacked together.

I do have to mention 2 things about the S'mores Set and you can view it in detail in the video too.

You can pretend to roast the marshmallows by placing them on the sticks. You can then place them to build a S'more when they are all ready. The really cool thing is that the side of each marshmallow is squishy. What that means, is you can push in the sides with your hands/fingers. When your child places the marshmallow in between the graham crackers and chocolate they can squeeze it all together. The marshmallow with then get smaller to look like it was melted. It is the coolest thing ever.

Not to worry as you can pop it right back to its original shape just by squeezing it too. Like I said I show this in detail in the video.

Your child can create so many different possibilities with them all. The best part is there are no right or wrong way to do it. Just let your child use their imaginations and be sure that you get in the fun too.

The Stack 'N Stay Hamburger Set comes with the following:
2 Blue Plates, 2 Bottom Buns, 2 Top Buns, 2 Tomato Slices, 2 Hamburger Patties, 2 Pieces of Lettuce, 2 Slices of Cheese, 1 Spatula, 1 Pot Holder, 1 Mustard Bottle and 1 Ketchup Bottle.

The Stack 'N Stay S'mores Set comes with the following:
2 Blue Plates, 2 Blue Cups, 4 Graham Crackers, 2 Marshmallows, 2 Pieces of Chocolate and 2 Sticks.

Here are the recommended ages on all the products:

Fixin' Fun Outdoor Grill 3+ years

Click and Whirl Mower 18+ months

Stack 'N Stay Food Sets 2+ years

These are recommended ages. My children are ages 2, 7 and 9. This just gives you an idea of how old the children can be too. All 3 of my kids have enjoyed playing with them.

Another reason you should love Step2 products too is that they are built in the United States and come with a 3 year warranty too.
